Pakistan South East Asia Business Forum (PSEABF) showcased the launch of the business platform on 21st June 2018. Ms. Sahibzadi Mahin Khan (CEO – Mahin Khan & Co.) and Mr. Farhad Karamally (CEO – Funverks Global ) unveiled PSEABF logo, website and shared their views on upcoming International Business Conference took place on September 8th, 2018 at Marriot Hotel Karachi, Pakistan.

Pakistan South East Asia Business Forum (PSEABF) and Karachi Business Forum (KBU) hosted a welcome dinner in honor of delegates on 7th September 2018. Distinguished dignitaries, speakers, advisory board, and sponsors supporting PSEABF were invited at the residence of Rashid Ahmed Siddiqui, Chairman Afeef Group on Friday.
Speakers at the dinner appreciated the efforts of organizers for holding this interactive conference where ‘Global Thought Leaders’ from the public and private sectors to discuss innovative and collaborative ways to solve modern challenges of global economic growth and overcome them by sharing responsibility, building purposeful alliances between stakeholders and using dialogue for long-term success.
Pakistan South East Asia Business Forum (PSEABF) organized its first International Conference on 8th September 2018 at Karachi Marriott Hotel. The Conference welcomed National and International speakers, thought leaders from their respective fields.
The Honorable President Azad Jammu & Kashmir Sardar Masood Khan shared his experience and input on the topic “Enhancing Trust through Regional Cooperation”. Using the example of the European Union, ASEAN and Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and stressed the need to focus on economic integration and capacity building of countries. He indicated very well that critical components and pre-requisites of regional cooperation are peace, reconciliation and political will. For a meaningful economic cooperation, peace and prosperity between the aspirants of the regional framework are essential to establish free trade, a common currency, and unified political institutions. As he shared, Pakistan and South East Asian countries have a natural complementarity and thus our efforts should be targeted at cementing these relationships. A Pakistan South East Asia Forum exists in a way through the relationships of entrepreneurs, however, this needs to be strengthened through political engagement and relationship development. If Pakistan wants to grow and leverage on the opportunities of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor, it needs to develop a regional cooperation network with South East Asia.
The Honorable Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah shared his views with regards the Sindh Provincial Government plan to collaborate with the Federal as well as other Provincial Governments to bring more investment into Pakistan. Thus, the role of Karachi as a business hub for Pakistan is critical. Karachi contributes 60% to the World Bank Ease of Doing Business Ranking and the business environment needs to become better to attract more foreign investment. He shared some exciting plans for this and emphasized how technology and digitization could be utilized to support investment. He also emphasized the essential to develop a conducive environment to attract and retain the best human resources to develop high-end and value-added business.
